Hand typing directory information takes way
to much time and is too prone to errors, One way to speed the process up is to
create a text file, add all your site information to the file and cut and paste
to each directory.
A better way uses FireFox and an add-on extension you can add to the FireFox
browser. First you need to
, install the InFormEnter extension, then open
Free Link Directories and select which PR you want to work with. Open
several directories, find the category you want to add your site to and go to
the Add URL page.
Use InFormEnter to quickly add the information to each Add URL form click enter
and go to the next. Close the page once you are finished adding the directory
and open up the next. By having multiple directories open all the time you will
spend far less time waiting as your site gets entered.
You can find InFormEnter at InFormEnter.mozdev.org.
Install by opening FireFox, go to
InFormEnter Install, click on informenter.xpi, if you have your popups
disabled you will need to enable them for this site.
When the install is finished, close your browser and restart. On the bottom of
your browser you will see a blue outlined box with an arrow in it click on that
and go to InFormEnter options. Create a profile with the name of your site, add
the information you will use to register you site and save. Be sure you have
included several ways to have the text name of your site listed, put each text
name on a new line. You can turn on the feature to show haw many characters is
on each entry line, It is helpful to have different length descriptions, some
directories like larger or small descriptions.
To use InFormEnter to fill text fields, choose your new profile by clicking the
InFormEnter Icon on the bottom of your FireFox browser window. Now when you
have a form displayed by the directory you wish to enter a site, right click on
the textbox you want to enter data into, choose InFormEnter and then choose the
information you want to enter.
Directory submission has never been easier.
